Extend summer in the garden
Late summer and autumn are wonderful times in the garden. For those who have planted and sown vegetables and fruit, there is much that ripens during this period. Many perennials are at their best now, and roses and hydrangeas are also in full bloom.

Best time for planting in the garden
August to October are excellent months for planting, you can plant shrubs, trees, berries and perennials as long as the frost stays away from the ground. Winter greens and conifers should be planted in August/September, depending on where you live in the country, so that they have time to establish themselves before winter comes. Water well. Consider choosing plants that have a later flowering period so that you can enjoy your garden for a longer period.
Fertilize in the fall
Existing shrubs and plants may need a dose of garden fertilizer. This will make the plants stronger and more protected before winter, and will also make the flowers, berries and fruit trees stronger.
Planting of spring flower bulbs
Autumn is also the time to plan and plant autumn bulbs, such as tulips, alliums, crocuses and scilla. We can already start dreaming about next spring.

Light up the autumn darkness
When darkness begins to descend in the evenings, you can make the garden more alive in the form of garden lighting, string lights and candles. Points of light in the form of an illuminated tree or bush make the garden more alive, even in the darkest months. An open fire in a fire bowl or fire basket enlivens the garden. Small light sources in the form of lanterns or torches create a mysterious and cozy atmosphere.
