When buying a fireplace, it is important to first consider your needs. Are you looking for a permanent outdoor chimney for the patio, or do you want a more portable fireplace that you can move around the garden and even take to the beach? If you want a portable solution, a fire pit or fire basket is a good compromise. The larger outdoor chimneys can also be moved around, but they are heavier and more cumbersome for that purpose. Do you also want to cook in the fireplace? Over an open fire pit, you can grill sausage on a stick, but if you want to be able to leave the food while it cooks, you need a model with a grate.
