Perennial, tender poppy in brilliant yellow, orange and red shades. It is an intense splash of color in the garden for a long time. Very beautiful together with cornflower, Chinese delphinium and other strongly blue-flowered plants. It can spread slightly and should get its own little corner of the bed. Sow in groups for best effect. Can be grown on dry and poor soil. Thrives best in loose soil. Water during drought. Usually flowers the year after sowing.
