Easy-to-grow, evergreen herb plant with small, dark green, aromatic leaves. Blooms beautifully in rose purple and attracts bees and other insects. Tolerates drought. The leaves are used fresh or dried in various dishes. Harvested in due course. For drying, whole twigs are picked before the plant flowers. Thrives in porous, preferably lean soil, but is frugal.
