Flowering, easy to grow and well-known. Mix of colors from bright yellow, apricot to dark orange. Beautiful to grow in beds and kitchen gardens. Great for cutting. Seeds easily if you let the flowers wilt. The brightly colored petals can be eaten, decorative in salads and drinks. Thrives in nutrient-rich and well-drained soil, but is frugal. Water when dry. Cut away wilted flowers as time goes by. The plant can be plowed down as green manure in the autumn.
