Pisum sativum 'Kelvedon Wonder'
Pisum sativum
Kr
An early, low-growing variety that thrives in rich soil. Home-grown peas have an exceptionally fine taste. They are good both fresh and lightly cooked. Also good for freezing. Cultivation: Sow directly on the site in a couple of rounds during May-June. Mulch the seed 2-3 cm deep. Often the soil has dried up quite a lot when it is time to sow peas. Water thoroughly. Germinate after 10-14 days. Support the plants with sticks if necessary. This works best if you have sown in rounds. Harvest the pods as they grow.
