The mixture contains honey phacelia, blood clover and buckwheat. Honeyfacelia has a lush green mass and a strong taproot that loosens the soil, blood clover is a nitrogen-fixing plant and buckwheat has a very good ground cover. When sown early, flowering occurs from July to September. To avoid seeding, the crop should be mowed before the flowers set seed. It can also be sown at the end of July-August, so that the soil does not lie bare and nutrients are leached. The crop is cultivated in fall or early spring.
