Are you considering buying a fireplace? A fireplace is not only an excellent source of heat during the cold days of autumn and winter - some models can also be used as a grill in the summertime, and of course, all of them serve as a place for relaxation and enjoyable moments when you tidy up the garden in the spring. When buying a fireplace, it is important to first consider your needs. Are you looking for a permanent outdoor chimney for the patio, or do you want a more portable fireplace that you can move around the garden and even take to the beach? If you want a portable solution, a fire pit or fire basket is a good compromise. The larger outdoor chimneys can also be moved around, but they are heavier and more cumbersome for that purpose. Do you also want to cook in the fireplace? Over an open fire pit, you can grill sausage on a stick, but if you want to be able to leave the food while it cooks, you need a model with a grate. Once you have purchased a model, it's time to place it in a suitable spot in the garden. Choose a safe location, considering both fire safety and factors like children and pets. Avoid placing the fireplace too close to flammable materials. If you place it in an area with flammable material, such as grass or on a deck, there is a risk of sparks escaping and causing things to catch fire - especially in the summer. It should also be placed on level ground so that it cannot tip over.
