"Astrid" is this year's favorite geranium
Here are Plantasjen's tips for taking care of "Astrid" the best:
Placement and light requirements:
Pelargoniums thrive in a bright and sunny location. They do well indoors, but thrive best outside during the summer.
Soil:
Repot your pelargoniums in larger pots with nutrient-rich geranium or U-soil.
Watering:
Pelargoniums tolerate drought well and do not like the soil to be too damp. A good tip is to check with your finger if the soil is wet. Wait until the soil is dry before watering again.
Fertilizer:
Give your pelargoniums plant food once a week during March-October.
Pruning:
Remove wilted flowers and leaves continuously for a richer flowering. Repotting and pruning should be done early in spring, as it prepares for the summer.
